Job purpose

To ensure a seamless experience for the guests by handling inquiries, bookings, reservations and other discrepancies. 

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Reservation management - He/she will be responsible for overseeing all the aspects of the reservation process, including handling inquiries, managing bookings, confirming reservations and solving guest complaints with accuracy and adhering to the policies and procedures of the hotel. 
  2. Revenue optimisation - Developing and implementing strategies to maximise revenue and occupancy level, including materialising pricing strategies, managing inventories and enforcing cross-selling and upselling initiatives to achieve revenue targets. 
  3. Distribution channel management - Managing relationships with online travel agencies, distribution partners and global distribution systems; optimising distribution channels and monitoring performance to increase market share and revenue. 
  4. Forecasting and analysis - Will be responsible for analysing reservation trends, booking patterns and other market demand data to forecast occupancy levels and identify growth opportunities. Make data-driven decisions to optimise inventory management strategies as well. 
  5. Guest experience enhancement -  Collaborate with other hotel departments like front office, sales and marketing to enhance guest stay and give them a seamless experience starting from booking to check-out, implementing all necessary initiatives to uphold guest loyalty. 
  6. Integrating technology - Evaluating and implementing reservation management systems, booking engines and other reservation management tools to streamline the entire reservation process, enhance efficiency and improve the overall guest experience. 
  7. Quality assurance - Ensuring consistency and accuracy in recording the reservation details, including guest profiles and booking details. 
  8. Conducting audits - Conducting regular audits to ensure the maintenance of high standards of service with quality and adherence to industry standards and compliance.
