Classic Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a coffee-flavoured Italian dessert which is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa. Not only to be served on occasions, this dessert is an ultimate comfort food for my family. Sharing my eggless version of tiramisu made with sponge cake and cream cheese.

For Coffee Liquor: • Two shots of espresso For Sponge Cake: Sponge dipped in coffee ; 2 cup refined flour ; 1/2 cup oil; 1 cup curd; ½ tsp baking powder; ½ tsp baking soda; a pinch of salt; 1 tsp vanilla; 1 cup sugar(adjust sugar as per your taste); Bake @180 degree C for 40 - 45 mins. For Cheese mix: 100ml cream cheese; 100ml whipping cream; 50ml Medium fat or sour cream; 3 tbsp sugar(adjust according to your taste); Whip at low speed till the mixture is light & fluffy. One doesn’t need to form peaks. Assembling the dessert: Dip the sponge in coffee liquor and place in the glass. Pipe the cheese mixture and smooth. Repeat once again. Now chill overnight to set. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top and serve.
