My Daadi's Version Of Sabudana Khichadi

My Daadi(grandma) used to make this Sabudana Khichdi and I have learnt it from her

Sabudana is an ideal food for fasting...I bet you would love this soul satisfying khichadi the way I make it. Here are the main ingredients you'll need.

●Sago (Sabudana)
●Roasted and coarsely ground peanuts🥜
●Green chillies🌶️
●Curry leaves🍃
●Cumin seeds
●Potatoes 🥔
●Coriander leaves 🍀
●Ghee 🍯
●Saindhav salt
●Lemon juice🍋
●Sugar
●Turmeric (Because I like my sabudana to be slightly yellowish)

Recipe
● Soak Sabudana overnight in 1:1 for soft and fluffy Khichdi, I personally don't like the dry pearls
● Drain sabudana the next morning and mix the coarsely crushed peanuts in a bowl.
● Take a kadhai and add 3 spoonful of Ghee and add all the ingredients
Cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and thin-sliced potatoes, add turmeric, saindhav salt and cover it for a while and let the potatoes cook.
● If not fasting, add other spices, coriander powder, red chillies powder, else skip it
● Mix drained Sabudana and grounded peanuts mixture and mix it gently. Sprinkle some sugar, lemon juice and garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.

You can serve a plate of गरमा गरम sabudana khichdi with some homemade दही
