Ingredients

  • Chana Dal 1 cup
  • Jaggery 1 cup

Instructions

  • Wash ,clean and soak chana dal for 1 hour
  • Pressure cook dal for 2 whistles with a pinch of salt and haldi
  • Drain excess water and keep aside
  • In a heated wok,add cooked chana dal and jaggery. Mix well
  • Stir until jaggery melts and dries up to fine paste
  • Mash well and bring it to dough consistency
  • Once slightly cool mix 2 tablespoon ghee( optional) and give it the shape of balls.
  • Garnish with almonds,pistachios or just ghee and serve

Notes/Tips

1.Mash the mixture with a masher to get the perfect consistency 2. Adding pinch of salt to the dal gives a awesome taste to the sweet laadus
