- Wash ,clean and soak chana dal for 1 hour
- Pressure cook dal for 2 whistles with a pinch of salt and haldi
- Drain excess water and keep aside
- In a heated wok,add cooked chana dal and jaggery. Mix well
- Stir until jaggery melts and dries up to fine paste
- Mash well and bring it to dough consistency
- Once slightly cool mix 2 tablespoon ghee( optional) and give it the shape of balls.
- Garnish with almonds,pistachios or just ghee and serve
