Aam Panna is a summer drink which is made in India during summer months to beat the heat. The raw mangoes are cooked and then blended with spices.

Ingredients

  • Raw mango 2
  • Mint leaves 2 Tbsp
  • Sugar 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 Tspn
  • Roasted cumin powder 1/2 Tspn
  • Pepper powder 1/2 Tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black salt 1 Tbsp

Instructions

  • Firstly in a pressure cooker take 2 raw mangoes and pour 2 cups water. Pressure cook for 3 whistles or until mangoes are cooked well.
  • Cool completely and peel the skin of mango. Scrape the pulp of mango making sure the skin has separated. Transfer the mango pulp to a blender.Add mint leaves and sugar.
  • Bend to smooth paste without adding any water.
  • Now add cardamom powder,cumin powder, pepper powder and salt,black salt. Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • To serve, in a glass take a 1 tbsp of aam panna concentrate and add few ice cubes. Pour in ice-cold water and mix well. finally enjoy fresh aampanna.
