- Heat oil in a pan then add jeera and let it crackle. Add in the chopped moongre and potatoes and mix well then put in the salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and garam masala. Stir until the spices mix in nicely and cover with a lid. Reduce heat to low. Cook until the moongre and potatoes are soft checking a few times in between. Once it is cooked. Serve the aloo moongre with roti,rice.
