Amla Raita

Ingredients

  • 1 cup amala, seeded, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 pinch turmeric powder
  • 2 cups curd
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

  • Remove the seeds. Finely chop amla Over medium heat, heat the coconut oil in a sauce pan. Stir in mustard seeds, let it splatter, Then stir in cumin seeds, asafoetida, chili and curry leaves, 2 mins. Turn off the heat.
  • Whisk the curd in a bowl ginger, amla and spice powders. Mix thoroughly. Salt to taste. add the tempered ingredients to the bowl containing curd, amla and etc. Nutritious raita is ready. chill and serve
