- 1. Peel and chop apples. Finely chop dates. 2. Soak saffron and cinnamon powder in milk. 3. Have some chopped unpeeled apple pieces, which will be later used for garnishing.
- Heat Ghee in a pan. Add peeled and chopped apple and dates to the ghee. Saute it for a couple of minutes.
- Once the mixture combines and sticks together, add milk and rose water. Mix well. Add soaked saffron, cinnamon powder. Stir well until milk boils.
- 1. Let the mixture cool down. Grind the mixture and form a smooth thick paste. 2. Boil the mixture again. Let it cool down. This way the entire mixture will blend all flavours properly.
- 1. Refrigerate the phirni for 30 minutes atleast. 2. Take chilled phirni in small serving bowls. Top it with chopped unpeeled apples, sode syrup and pistachios.
