- Soak 1/2 cup of Arrowroot powder in 1 cup water. Let it settle. Once the water at the top becomes clear, discard this water carefully. It is to remove the impurities present in the powder.
- In a non stick pan, mix soaked arrowroot powder, sugar and water.
- Under high flame continuously stir the mixture. Avoid forming lumps.
- Once the mixture starts to thicken, add lemon juice. Stir continuously for some time & When it becomes a thick mass, add food colour. Then add ghee 1 tbspn at a time.
- Lastly add some chopped nuts also. Cook until the halwa leaves the sides of the pan. Transfer it into greased tin. Cool & demould and cut into desired shapes.
