- Peel the ash gourd and grate it well.discard the seeds.
- Take a pan add the grated ash gourd.
- Dry all the water from the ash gourd.
- Add sugar and mix well.
- Add saffron.add ghee.
- Mix and cook till ghee separates from the halwa.
- Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add cashew.The halwa is ready serve hot.
