Ingredients

  • bajara flour
  • Finely chopped onion
  • Turmeric powder (haldi)
  • Chilli powder
  • Dhana jeera powder( coriander powder)
  • Green chilli ginger paste
  • Sugar
  • Chopped coriander
  • Baking soda
  • Oil
  • Sslt

Instructions

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a semi soft dough using enough water. 2. Apply little oilon your hands and divide into equal portion .Shape into cylindrical roll. 3. Steam them in a steamer cooker for 40 to 45 minute.
  • 3. Steam them in a steamer cooker for 40 to 45 minutes. 4. Let them cool for approximately 10 minutes. 5. Cut them into slice of diameter 25 mm and keep aside.
  • 6. Heat 2 to 3 tsp oil in non-stick kadai and add mustard seeds. 7. When seeds crackles , add cumin seeds , curry leaves asafoetida and saute on a  medium flame for few seconds.
  • 8. Add muthia pieces and 1/2cup water and mix well. Cover with a lid for 5 minutes,  then gently mix. 9. Open lid and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped coriander. 10. Serve immediately garnished with coriander.

Notes/Tips

For the garnishing 2 tsp finely chopped coriander (dhana)
