Ingredients

  • Besan 1 Cup
  • Sooji 2 Tbsp
  • Milk 1 Cup
  • Sugar Half Cup
  • Ghee 3/4th Cup
  • Almonds 10-12
  • Cashews 10-12
  • Cardamom 2
  • Water 1/4th cup
  • Saffron 1 pinch dissolved

Instructions

  • Take a heavy bottom kadhai and heat ghee over medium flame.
  • Add sooji and roast a bit till fragrant. Now add besan and roast on low flame till it smells aromatic and light brown.
  • Now sprinkle water spoon by sooon by mixing continuosly so that besan get fluffed.
  • Now add milk and mix thoroughly. Add in the sugar and saffron to it. Cook till leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Fry the nuts and add add to the halwa. Sprinkle cardamom powder and give a final mix.
  • Serve hot 🔥 this delight in wintery night.

Notes/Tips

Do not cook over high flame otherwise it will give dark colour and bitter taste.
