  • Bread slices 4
  • desiccated coconut 1/2 cup
  • powdered jaggery 1/2 cup
  • cashews and almonds ( 1/4 cup)
  • milk 1/4 cup
  • ghee 1tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp

Instructions

  • make bread crumbs out of bread slices after removing the edges.
  • make fine powder of cashews and badam.
  • in a pan dry roast bread crumbs for 2 mins.
  • add dry fruits powder and desiccated coconut fry for few mins.
  • switch off flame. mix in jaggery powder and cardamom powder.
  • allow to cool. then mix ghee thoroughly.
  • add milk little by little. mix until mixture starts binding.
  • make modak using modak moulds.

Notes/Tips

make fine powder of jaggery so that it blends well with other ingredients.
