- Take besan into a bowl. Add rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ajwain, salt, and a pinch of baking soda.Do not add much soda.Mix well and add water.Make batter as we make for batata bhaji. It should not be too thin and have a little thicker consistency.Beat the batter really good for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves and mix well again. The batter for pakoda is already.Give it a standing time of about 15-20 minutes.Take bread slices and cut off its edges. You can keep the edges in batter and fry them. These pakodas also taste good. You can keep the edges if you don’ want to chop them off.
- Cut the bread across into triangular pieces.Heat up oil in a pan.Take the batter and mix it once.Dip the slice into the batter and coat it really good from both sides.Drop it into the hot oil.Fry for about 2 minutes and flip over.Fry from other side as well.
- Fry until pakoda becomes crunchy and get a nice golden color.Take pakodas out of oil, drain excess oil, and place them into a dish.
