  • 3 bread slices chopped in to squares
  • 1/2 cup sugar powder
  • Few drops orange food colour(optional)
  • 2 cardamoms, crushed
  • as required oil/ghee for the shallow fry
  • 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
  • Some chopped pistachios

Instructions

  • Firstly to prepare sugar syrup, take a sauce pan add 1/2 cup sugar and half cup water, cook on a low flame untill sugar dissolves keep stirring continuously, add two crushed cardamom to it and pinch of orange food colour,syrup should get little thick and sticky, take out from the flame.
  • Cut bread slices in to square pieces, shallow fry them in medium hot oil or ghee flip both side and fry until golden brown in colour, take out on the tissue paper.
  • Dip fried bread squares in warm sugar syrup for about 20-25 seconds, let them absorb syrup,roll them in dessicated coconut, garnish with some chopped dry fruits or pistachios.
