Ingredients

  • Bread 4 pc
  • Saunf
  • Rice flour (chawal ka aata) 2tbsp
  • Maida 150gm
  • Lal Batasha (Sugar cakes) 250gm

Instructions

  • Cut out the sides of the bread. Cut the bread into small pieces.
  • Mix saunf, bread, maida, rice flour and knead a soft dough using warm water. Set aside for 10 mins
  • Roll out 1/2" thick roti from the dough.
  • Cut out shapes of your own choice
  • Fry the cut outs. For frying use either ghee or oil or a mix of both
  • Fry lightly till light brown
  • Mix 1 cup water and add the lal Batasha to the water. Let it boil to a syrupy consistency
  • Let it cool for 5 mins
  • After 5 mins add the hearts to the syrup and keep it covered for 10 mins.
  • Delicious Bread Dilruba is ready

Notes/Tips

Do not fry for long. The syrup will be 3-taar consistency. Use only warm water to knead the dough. Do not add salt.
