  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Cardamom
  • Pista
  • Oil

Instructions

  • Remove the brown edges of the bread slices and cut them into pieces. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the bread pieces till crisp and golden brown evenly. Drain them on paper towels and keep aside. Combine the sugar, water and cardamom powder in a saucepan and mix well until the sugar dissolves completely. Let the syrup boil. Remove from the heat. Dip the fried bread slices in the hot syrup for a few seconds and take out. Arrange them in a plate and sprinkle the chopped pistachios or almonds on top and serve.
