  • Oil
  • Mustard
  • Cumin
  • Moong dal
  • Garlic
  • Green chillies
  • Onion
  • Curry leaves
  • Tomato
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Red chilli powder
  • Corinader powder

Instructions

  • In a pan add oil and add mustard seeds, moong dal and cumin seeds and stir fry. Add onions, green chillies, garlic cloves and curry leaves. Once onions turn soft, add tomatoes and cook further. On another hand slice cabbage into thin pieces so that they can be cooked easily. Cover the pan with lid covered for a minute so that cabbage becomes soft. Add little salt and turmeric powder, mix well. Cook for 3 minutes on low flame by stirring occasionally. After adding salt, cabbage tends to release water. When it turns soft, sprinkle coriander powder and red chilli powder, mix well. Serve cabbage vepudu recipe hot with plain rice or chapatti.
