Capsicum Dry Masala Curry

Ingredients

  • Capsicum
  • Onion
  • Tempering seeds
  • Fried Chana Dal (Putna)
  • Red chilli powder
  • Jeera
  • Salt
  • Turmeric

Instructions

  • Grind putna, red chilli powder and jeera to a coarse powder
  • Take a kadai, add 3 tbsp oil, and add tempering seeds
  • Add onion, and let them turn translucent
  • Add capsicum pieces to the onion, add salt and turmeric powder
  • Cook on low flame for 10mins
  • Add the ground powder to the cooked capsicum and mix it well
  • Fry the capsicum for 5 mins of medium flame
  • Serve with rice or roti

Notes/Tips

1. Make sure all the capsicum pieces are of same size, it makes the dish more delicious 2. Grind the powder into a coarse powder and not fine powder, the coarse powder adds taste
