  • 2cups makhana
  • 2tbsp peanuts
  • 1/2tsp ghee
  • 4tbsp chopped jaggery
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1tsp Kashmiri all mirch
  • 1tsp white sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Heat a pan, add 2 cup makhana, 2 tbsp peanuts and roast it well on a medium flame for 7-10 mins and transfer it into a bowl.
  • Now add 1/2 tsp ghee in the same pan add 2 tbsp chopped jaggery and melt it on low flame. Add salt, white sesame seeds, Kashmiri red chilli powder and mix well.
  • Now, add roasted makhana & peanuts in it. Mix it well and cook for 5 mins on slow flame then turn off the flame and let it cool down.
  • Once it cools down you can separate makhana from each other and your sweet and healthy Caramelized Makhana is ready

Notes/Tips

1. You can use brown sugar instead of jaggery. 2. You can skip salt and Kashmiri red chilli Powder. 3. Cook Makhane on low Flame until Crispy and crunchy but don't let it burn.
