Ingredients

  • 3 carrots
  • 1 tomato
  • Small cube of ginger
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Pinch turmeric
  • Pinch red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan and add all the whole spices. Then add garlic ginger & cook it for a min.
  • Now add chopped carrots,salt & cook until soft. Then add water & cook it on medium heat for few more minutes. Let it cool down.
  • Now remove the whole spices from it & blend it in a mixer & strain it.
  • Add dry spices to the soup and cook the soup on medium heat until it starts boiling.
  • Carrot ginger shorba is ready to serve.
