- Take a pan and add oil,cumin, mustard,urad dal and saute well. Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Then add chopped carrots. Cook well for 3-4 minutes and turn off the flame and let it cool down. Then transfer the Carrot mixture into a blender and blend well.can also use a bit of water. Take a pan and add oil,cumin, mustard,urad dal again and saute well then add this tempering in the pachadi and serve.
