Choco Mint Donuts

Ingredients

  • Refined Flour
  • Active Dry yeast
  • Powdered sugar
  • Cocoa powder
  • Butter at room temperature
  • Warm milk
  • Warm water
  • White compound
  • Mint extract
  • Chocolate sprinklers( optional)
  • Green food colour (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix the yeast, sugar and water in a bowl and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  • Take a bowl and add flour, cocoa powder and sugar into it. Add the yeast mixture and with the help of sone water,knead a soft dough.
  • Add Butter to the dough and keep kneading properly for 15-20 Minutes.
  • Leave the dough covered in a warm environment for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough of about 1/2 inch thickness and cut out donuts out of it with the help of A donut cutter or Glass.
  • Leave the donuts covered with a damp cloth for another 15 minutes for second round of proofing.
  • Fry the in refined oil on medium heat till the become golden brown.
  • For the chocolate glaze- melt the white compound in a double boiler, add mint extract and a few drops of green food colour to it after taking off the heat.
  • Dip the Donuts in the chocolate glaze and decorate them with chocolate sprinklers and mint leaves.

Notes/Tips

1) Knead the dough properly for 15-20 minutes to remove the sticky consistency of the dough. 2) do the second round of proofing.
