Chocolate Eggless Bento Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1.5tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • Pinch salt
  • Milk
  • Fresh cream
  • Butter
  • Dark compound chocolate
  • Parle G biscuit

Instructions

  • 1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Or preheat the cooker for 10 min and Line one of the small round shaped tin or vessel with parchment paper or dust with all-purpose flour and set aside.
  • 2. In a bowl mix oil, sugar and yoghurt until sugar dissolves( 30sec) than sieve the dry ingredients ( plain flour, Choco powder, baking powder and baking soda) to it
  • 3. Now mix it all well into cut and fold method. Don’t over mix the batter. Now gradually add the milk and mix it will to the nice consistency of batter.
  • 4. Add the batter into tin and bake it in oven for 25 min or until the toothpick is clean inside. In cooker bake it the same way.
  • 5. Once cake is ready, allow them to cool completely.
  • 6. For chocolate ganache take one bowl add small pcs of Dark Chocolate , fresh cream and butter and heat on the bowl as double boiler until chocolate melts completely. Mix it well and keep in freeze to cool down. Take out after some time and blend it well with hand blender until gets stiff pick. You may also keep some of the melted chocolate sauce aside to decorate a final layer.
  • 7. For assembling the chocolate bento cake, place a layer of cake on one plate and pipe the chocolate ganache and spread it than add another layer and do the same till last layer and spread evenly to the cake. Once done you can drizzle the chocolate sauce to eat putting on the still rack under keep one plate (optional).
  • 8. Keep in the fridge to set it properly.
  • 9. For decorating roses and leaf petals crush the biscuit than gradually add milk and make dough. Now divide into 2 parts and add the colours and mix it.
  • 10. Make the flat petals and place on each other and roll it and the roses are ready. For the leaf take the green dough and make into small leaf shape and place it. You can make many designs with the same dough.

1)Make sure the batter is in flowing consistency 2) the cake should be cold while decorating
