Chole Puri

Ingredients

  • Oil 2 tbsp + frying
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Ginger chilli garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Chopped onion 2
  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Hing 1/4 tsp +1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Chole masala 2 tsp
  • Soaked and boiled chana 1 cup
  • Split green chilli 1
  • Amchur powder 1 tsp
  • Wheat flour 2 cups

Instructions

  • Take a bowl add flour, salt and hing , make dough from it for puri. Allow to rest for 15 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a pan, add ginger chilli garlic paste, and onion, cook till it's soft.
  • Now add tomato puree and seasoning to it. Cook till oil is released.
  • Now add boiled chana in it and adjust the consistency by adding water. Again cook for 15 minutes.
  • Now make a puri from dough.
  • Serve the Chole with puri by garnishing with lemon , coriander and fried green chilli

Notes/Tips

U can use lemon juice in place of amchur powder. Even chole can be serve with naan, kulcha, bature.
