  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Onion
  • Garam masala
  • Bay leaf
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Coconut milk
  • Rice
  • Ghee
  • Green chillies
  • Corinader
  • Curry leaves

Instructions

  • Soak Basmati Rice in water for about 20 minutes. Cut Onions as large chunks and slit green chillies. Heat Oil in a pressure cooker Add whole garam masala and bayleaves and fry for about 1/2 a minute Add ginger garlic paste and green chillies and fry for 1/2 a minute. Add chunks of Onions and fry till they are transparent. Add soaked rice and fry for about a minute Now add the thick coconut milk and stir Add water and stir Add salt to taste Close the lid of the cooker and cook for the same time you would take to make your plain rice.sprinkle curry leaves and coriander on top and, serve hot.
