Ingredients

  • Ghee
  • Milk powder
  • Condensed milk
  • Milk
  • Chopped Dried cranberries
  • Chenna/paneer/mawa/khoya
  • Cardamom powder or saffron

Instructions

  • Warm up the milk slightly and soak saffron in it. Take a pan and heat it. add ghee to it.
  • Add in the milk powder and condensed milk, mix it. Cook on a low flame.
  • Add in the soaked saffron milk and chopped dried cranberries and cook on a low flame. You can add cardamom powder instead of saffron.
  • Cook till the mixture thickens.
  • Add in the grated or crumbled paneer/khoya/mawa. Stir continuously.
  • Switch off the flame when the mixture starts leaving the pan. Cool it down slightly. Make the pedas using some ghee in your hand.
  • Your cranberry pedas are ready. Enjoy!!!!

Notes/Tips

Homemade peda with just a few ingredients. The recipe is quick to make and turns out delicious. This sweet is found in many Indian sweet shops and this particular recipe has a fresh twist. So delicately flavoured just in one bite with the goodness of a cranberry.
