Ingredients

  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1/2 tsp Powdered sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • Chopped green chili
  • 1 1/2 cups bolied rice
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Hing / Asafetida
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 or 2 Dried red chilies
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 1 tsp chana dal

Instructions

  • Take curd in a bowl. Add powdered sugar, salt, and ginger-green chili paste.
  • Beat the curd until it becomes nice and creamy. Add boiled rice and mix well.
  • For tadka, heat up oil in a tadka pan. You also can use ghee for tadka. Add mustard seeds and let them pop up. Add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves and dried red chilies, urad dal, chana dal. Mix well and add this tadka in rice
  • Mix well and dahi bhat is already. This rice remains good for 1-2 days.
