- Make a paste of the curry leaves with 1 cup of water. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot add 1 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste and the fish pieces.
- Fry the fish slightly in the hot oil for about 2 minutes. Do not brown the fish. Drain the fish and keep aside.
- In the same oil add the crushed garlic and saute for 1 minute.
- Add salt to taste and the curry leaves paste and let it come to a boil.
- Add the fried fishes, some water as required. Cover the pan and cook on high heat for 12-15 minutes.
- Add salt if required and adjust the gravy consistency as per your requirement and take off the heat.
