- Wash the chicken pieces and marinate it with yought, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, kashmiri mirch powder , green chilli paste and salt to taste. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Wash rice and cook it 80% . Strain it and slightly cool . Add salt and biriyani mashala . Keep it aside .
- Finely sliced onions .Heat pan .Add mustard oil .Add the some sliced onions for birista .Fry until golden brown . Strain from oil and keep it aside.
- Add the left sliced onions .Fry until golden brown .Add marinate chicken .Saute well .Add salt if required and cover it .Cook it medium flame. Let it cook until separate oil .Add 1 tbsp rose water and 1 tbsp gorom mashala powder . Mixed well and keep it aside .
- Boiled potato with salt as required and fry it . Boiled egg and fry it .
- In a handi or pan,keep some rice and sprinkle some birista . Add boiled fried potato . Cover it with some rice for first layer .Then add cooked chicken sprinkle some birista and cover it some rice ,add rose water,mitha attar and some birista for second layer. Lastly add boiled fried egg , birista and ghee . Cover it with left rice and sprinkle birista . Cover it with lid . Cooked low flame for 15 minutes .
- Turn off the heat and left it for 5 minutes. Dum chicken biriyani is ready. Serve with raita and enjoy this delicious dish.
