  • beater curd
  • asafoetida
  • turmeric powder
  • Degi red chilli powder
  • coriander powder
  • salt
  • coriander seeds
  • cumin seeds
  • fennel seeds
  • black peppercorns
  • large potatoes - cube diced
  • Onions - fine chopped
  • green chilli - chopped
  • Desi ghee
  • Sugar
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • salt
  • water

Instructions

  • Ingredients: First things first. Keep all the ingredients ready and handy as shown in the image
  • Firstly, in a mortal pastel, add all the herbs as shown in the adjacent figure and crush them to a find powder.
  • In a Kadai, heat ghee and add the crushed masala, onion, green chilies, and sauté until light brown
  • Now add the mixture of curd, asafoetida, degi red chilli powder, salt and sauté continuously on medium heat until fragrant.
  • Meanwhile, deep fry cubed potatoes in oil until golden brown and cooked completely. Once cooked, take out the potatoes on to a place with tissue paper, so as to take out the excess oil. Add the potatoes to the curd mixture & garnish with fresh coriander.
  • your Dahi wale Aloo is ready to serve. Dahi Wale Aloo can be had with Poori, Chapati, Paratha.... as you like
