- Take a pressure cooker and add chana dal,water, salt and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles. Take a mixing bowl and add whole wheat flour,salt, a bit of oil and mix. Then add water and knead well. Make a soft dough. Keep aside for 10 minutes. Take the cooked chana dal in a bowl and mash it with a masher. Take a portion of dough and make a thick disc. Then place the chana dal mixture in between and take edges of chapathi and fold it to the center. Then using a balan make a round thin disc. Place this on hot tawa and roast on both the sides. Serve hot with dal,or vegetable curry.
