Diabetic Friedly Carrot Halwa

  • 2 tbsp Apple condensed milk
  • 1 Carrot peeleed and grated
  • 2 tsp Milk powder
  • 1 1/2 cup Milk
  • Cardamon pods crushed
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Butter

Instructions

  • To make the apple condensed milk, simply peel of an apple and grate it. Then in a heavy bottom sauce pan boil the grated apples with 4 dates and 1 cup water. Cook it well. Then make a paste of it wirh a mixutre grinder. Then strain the mixutre and again cook it in heavy bottom saucepan with medium flame, till it dries a little then add 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 tsp of baking soda and stirr it frequently untill it gives a golden brown colour and a milky smell. Then turn off the gas and your sugar free, diabetic friendly condensed milk ready.
  • In a kadai heat some ghee and butter , then add the grated carrots and fry it untill it changes colour or become frangnant. Then add the milk, condemned milk, m8lk powder and stirr it very well. Cook it untill it thickens. Spread the crused cardamom powder and fry it very well . When the halwa started to leave tge kadai stirr it once again and turn off the gas.
  • Pour the halwa into a plate and garnish it with nuts, cardamom.

Notes/Tips

All the milk should be soaked by the the carrots , so it should be thick, the carrot should be well cooked .
