- Boil toor dal till it is cooked well. In a pan, heat 2 teaspoons of oil, add broken red chilies to it then add mustard seeds and the cumin seeds,hing, saute it. When the mustard seeds begin to splutter, add garlic, chopped onion, salt, curry leaves,and green chilies and cook it well. To it, even add chopped cucumber, cover and cook cucumber are tender. Then add the cooked dal to the above pan and mix well. Later, add butter, remove from fire and garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves. Serve it.
