- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, dry red chilies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pepper, chana dal, urad dal, toor dal, moong dal, red gram dal, saute it. After about 1-2 minutes, add grated fresh coconut, turmeric powder, hing, tomato pieces, curry leaves, saute all this till tomatoes get to mashy consistency. Later grind all these ingredients to a fine paste and keep aside. Now, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds,dry red chilies, curry leaves, drumstick pieces, slitted green chilies, fry them. To it, add tamarind juice, salt and let it boil for some time. When drumstick is perfectly cooked, add jaggery, earlier ground masala paste along with some water, cook it. Serve this curry with rice,chapathi.
