Ingredients

  • Kofta Ingredients: 1 cup Shredded eggs
  • 1.5 cup Hard boiled shredded potatoes
  • 0.5 cup Shredded paneer
  • All purpose flour for binding
  • 2 tbsp Cashew nuts and Raisins chopped
  • Beaten eggs to coat
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Gravy ingredients: 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1.5 medium finely chopped Onion
  • 1.5 medium finely chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 3 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 3 tsp each cumin and coriander powder
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds

Instructions

  • For gravy: Heat butter and oil with whole Spices. Add cumin seeds and onions. Once onion cooks , add tomatoes and salt! Cook until oil separates. Add all powdered spices and cook until spices cook.
  • Add this gravy in mixie add water and make a smooth paste. Strain this liquid to get velvet gravy.
  • For kofta: Mix shreds and all purpose flower to make a dough like mixture. Take a dollop of this mixture and put cashew raisin mix in between and mould koftas.
  • Roll these koftas in beaten eggs , in flour , again in beaten eggs and ultimately in breadcrumbs.
  • Freeze and Deep fry koftas.
  • Assemble the gravy and kofta in butter. Heat or microwave and serve hot.
