Ingredients

  • Rice - gobindbhog/basmati - 400gm
  • Fried fish pieces-4-5
  • Cinnamon/dalcheeni
  • Cardamon/ elaichi
  • Cloves/loung
  • Tejpatta/bay leaf
  • Salt to taste
  • Jeera/cumin seed
  • Haldi/Turmeric powder
  • Chilli powder
  • Onion finely chopped -1
  • Ginger finely chopped- 10 gm
  • Tomato - 2 medium size
  • Oil
  • Green chilli- 4-5

Instructions

  • Marinate the fish with turmeric, salt, and chilli powder.
  • Wash the raw rice 2-3 times. Then keep it aside.
  • Fry the marinated fish well. Then keep it aside.
  • Now put the kadhai on gas top and put mustard oil heat it.
  • Now put cumin seeds, bayleaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamon, and stir it.
  • Put ginger, green chillies, and onion cook them till the onion turns little brown.
  • Now add tomatoes snd salt to taste, turmeric powder, and little chilli powder accordingly.
  • Cook them well then add soaked rice in it stir it for 2 min and then put fried fish pieces and add water so that rice get cooked.

Notes/Tips

Cut the chillies from between to avoid popping out from oil.
