- First lets dry roast the 1/4 cup of foxtail millet and 1/2 cup of moong dal on a low flame till its fragrant and smells nutty. Set aside.
- cook the thinai / foxtail millet along with moong dal with two cups of water in the pressure cooker with 4 whistles. Remove from heat and wait for the pressure to be released naturally. Set aside.
- Take a pan and add in the jaggery and a cup of water. Bring it to a boil and let the mixture boil until the jaggery is completed.
- Take a pan, add it to the cooked millet mixture. Add in half a cup of milk and simmer the mixture for a couple of minutes.
- add it to jaggerry syrup. add a pinch of cardamon powder.
- Take a pan and spread a small amount of ghee, add raisins and badam and add to the payasam.
