Fruity Legume Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 cup - soaked chana dal
  • 1/2 cup - udad dal
  • 2 tablespoon - chopped kiwi
  • 1 and 1/2 cup- chopped strawberry
  • 1 - tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 - tablespoon chaat masala
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3-4 tablespoon oil
  • 2 Teaspoon - butter
  • 8-10 - strands of coriander
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon - lemon juice

Instructions

  • Begin the recipe by taking soaked chana dal and udad dal and grind them into a smooth paste .
  • Take this paste in a bowl ,add salt as per taste and red chilli powder ,now mix this and keep it aside making 3-4 portions/ parts.
  • Take 2 tablespoons of chopped strawberry and kiwi in separate bowl add chaat masala and mix it .
  • In a flat pan , drizzle some oil and heat it take a separate bowl with water in it . Now wet your hands before taking the dal paste in your palm so that the paste doesn't stick in your hand .
  • After that fill with chopped kiwi and strawberry in between the paste then shape it into a square stick some soaked chana dal on it.
  • Place the prepared squares on the hot flat pan on medium flame and fry it from both sides until golden yellow. Make the other square like this.
  • For strawberry crush, take 1 cup chopped strawberries add sugar and boil in on a slow flame stirring it continuously. Add the lime juice in the end .
  • Glaze some coriander in butter for garnishing.
  • In a serving plate place the square pour some thin strawberry crush and coriander. And enjoy your starter.

Notes/Tips

Putting water on hands is most important as the paste is too sticky
