Ingredients

  • Gajar 2 kg
  • Milk 3 kg
  • Elaichi powder
  • Sugar 250 kg
  • Dry Fruits
  • Ghee 6tbsp

Instructions

  • First rinse and peel carrots.
  • Next grate the carrots with a grater.
  • In heavy kadai switch on the gas ,add 2tbsp ghee and all the grated carrots and add full fat milk.
  • Mix the grated carrots and milk together.
  • Cook the mixture on low medium heat. after few minutes the milk will began to froth and then start slowly reducing.
  • Cook the carrots and milk mixture.
  • Add 4 tbsp ghee and next add sugar to taste.
  • Add cardamom powder and continue to simmer on low flame.
  • When halw has reduced to a pudding like consistency add dry fruits of your choice.
  • Serve Gajar ka Halwa warm from the pan and garnish with some chopped dry fruits.
