Instructions

  • boil the eggs first. Make cuts in them We need to boil the sorrel leaves. Let them cool down and grind it into a paste. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in pan Add boiled eggs and fry till they turn brown In the same oil, add whole garam masala – 3 cardamom, 4 cloves, 2-3 cinnamon stick pieces, 1/2 teaspoon shahjeera, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and fry for a minute. Add 2 chopped onions and fry Close lid and cook till they turn transparent Add 4 green chillies and fry for a minute Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and fry Add 2 diced tomatoes, close lid and fry till they become soft. Add 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds powder, salt and mix Add 1/2 cup water, 2 tablepoons sorrel leaves paste and mix Cook for a couple of minutes and add the fried eggs Close lid and cook on low flame for 7-8 minutes Here paste of onions and tomatoes could also be used instead of dicing them As the gravy thickens, sprinkle some coriander leaves and mix Serve hot wit rice or roti
