- Wash and chop red sorrel leaves. Heat the oil in kadai, add channa dal, urad dal, garlic,cumin, mustard & fenugreek seeds and curry leaves; allow them to splutter. Add chopped green chillies and onions; fry till onions are transparent. Then add chopped tomato and cook till tomatoes are soft. Add sorrel leaves, salt, turmeric, chilli powder and tamarind juice. Close the lid and cook in low flame for 10 minutes until done. Serve with rice.
