Instructions

  • To a mixing bowl, add 2 cups all purpose flour, 1 cup bombay rava, 1/2 teaspoon salt, a pinch of baking soda and mix Add 3 tablespoons heated oil and mix Mix thoroughly Add some water and knead it into a dough Knead and let it sit for 1/2 hour Spread some oil on your palms and knead the dough again Spread some oil on it so that the dough. We can also use a comb to make the goru meetilu. Take a small amount of dough and roll it into a cylindrical shape Now, place this dough on the goru meetilu plate and press it along the plate. Rolling pin also could be used to gae an even shape Peel it off the plate and fold it on one side to get a proper shape. Lets deep fry them now Heat oil for deep fry in pan. Fry the goru meetilu on high flame till they turn golden brown and move them into a plate Lets prepare jaggery syrup now Take 1 1/2 cup jaggery Add 1/4 cup water and stir Stir and cook till jaggery melts and simmers Add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder, clarified butter and simmer till 1 thread consistency is obtained Add the prepared goru meetilu to this jaggery syrup and mix.
