  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Cumin
  • Coriander seeds
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Green chillies
  • Coriander
  • Tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Rice
  • Bay leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Artificial green colour

Instructions

  • soak rice for 2 hrs. then heat oil in a heavy bottommed pan and add bay leaves and sliced onions and fry till brown .grind the rest of the spices in to a fine paste.next add the ground paste and add little water to avoid burning.fry for a min and then add the sliced tomatoes and add salt .once tomatoes become tender.Now measure the quantity of water.for 1 cup of rice add 2 cup of boiling water to the gravy.let it come to a boil, now check for salt. then strain the water from the rice and add the rice to the gravy. put the lid and cook it on a medium flame for few minutes.when the water gets almost absorbed put an air tight lid and let it cook for another 10 mins.green pulao is ready to serve.
