Ingredients

  • Coconut grated : 2 cups
  • Jaggery : 1cup
  • Sesame seeds : 2tbsp

Instructions

  • First add coconut in a heavy kadai and roast for 5 minutes to get rid of the moisture from the coconut. Do not brown the coconut.
  • Add the jaggery and mix it with coconut.  Stir continuously till the jaggery melts and mixture becomes thick.
  • Switch off the flame. Let the mixture cools down.
  • Make small balls out of it. Roll with sesame seeds.
  • Laddus are ready to serve.

Notes/Tips

1. Roast coconut only to get rid of the moisture. Do not brown the coconut. 2. Stir continuously till the jaggery melts and mixture becomes thick or otherwise it will stuck to the pan.
