- First take all the dry ingredients and shift them before mixing them together.
- Then take oil, yogurt, sugar, salt, cardamom essence and rose essence together and mix until the sugar melts.
- Mix the dry ingredients to it batch by batch and fold gently.
- Transfer it in a cake tin and bake in a preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins at 180°C until the toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove the cake, cool it completely add then unmould it.
- Next, whip the cream till stiff, add yellow colour and few drops of rose essence to it.
- Trim the cake and make two layers.
- Soak one layer with the sugar syrup that comes along with the gulab jamuns.
- Spread some cream and arrange few cut pieces of gulab jamuns on it.
- Now, place the other layer of the cake over it and cover the whole cake with cream.
- Let it chill for 30mins.
- Decorate the cake with gulab jamun and rose petals.
