Ingredients

  • Bengal gram dal ( chana dal) 1 cup
  • Jaggery powder 3/4 cup
  • grated coconut 1/4 cup
  • elaichi powder 1tsp
  • dry fruits 1/4 cup

Instructions

  • soak chana dal for an hour
  • cook till soft
  • heat jaggery powder with water till jaggery dissolves. filter this for any impurities.
  • mix cooked chana dal with jaggery syrup. cook for some more time with grated copra till thick consistency is attained.
  • add elaichi powder and dry fruits.

the quantity of water used depends on the consistency required.
