  • Moong Dal 200 Gms
  • Ghee 150-200 Gms
  • Sugar 100 Gms
  • Almonds Chopped 10-12
  • Cashew Chopped 10-12
  • Cardamom Powder (Optional) 1 tsp
  • Khoya 50 Gms Crumbled
  • Milk 250 Ml

Instructions

  • Wash the mong that thoroughly and strain. Let it dry on a kitchen towel for 5-10 mins.
  • Heat up the kadahi and roast dal on low flame for 5-7 mins.
  • Let it cool and grind into a semi fine powder.
  • In the kadahi Add 2-3 Tbsp Ghee Into It.
  • Fry the nuts and keep them aside. Add the rest of ghee into the kadahi.
  • Now add the moong dal powder into ghee and cook on slow flame till aromatic and a little golden brown.
  • Slowly add milk by stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Now cook for 10-15 mins or till it leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Add sugar and cook for another 5-7 mins.
  • Add khoya and mix thoroughly. Add up the nuts and cardamom powder.
  • Turn off the flame and mix. Serve Hot.

Notes/Tips

Do not add wet dal into kadahi while roasting otherwise it will stick to the pan and can burn.
