Ingredients

  • 1 cup urad dal
  • 1/4th cup curd
  • 2 TBS corn flour
  • 1 TSP baking soda
  • Ghee to fry
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Saffron shreds
  • 2 cardemom
  • lemon juice
  • Dry fruits for Garnishing

Instructions

  • Wash and soak urad dal for 6-8 hours.
  • Mean while heat a pan add sugar, water let it dissolve then add saffron shreds, cardomam powder, lemon juice and prepare the sugar syrup. Before it turns to 1 layer switch off the gas. Let it come to room temperature.
  • Add curd in batch wise and blend it to fine paste with lil bit of water.
  • Whisk the batter, add corn flour and baking soda, whisk it until it's soft.
  • Transfer it to piping bag. - Heat a pan add desi ghee and fry jalebi. Then soak it for 1 min in sugar syrup and transfer it to serving plate.
  • Garnish it with dry fruits
