Ingredients

  • Besan/ chickpeas pwd 2 cups
  • Water 3 cups
  • Mustard 1/2 spoon
  • Jeera 1/2 spoon
  • Hing pinch
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
  • Oil 2tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry nd coriander leaves
  • Shredded fresh coconut 1 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 2tbsp
  • Green chillies 2tbsp
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • 1 chopped onion

Instructions

  • First make a paste of green chillies,garlic,jeera nd salt. Keep aside. Now in a mixing bowl put 2 cups of Besan nd ad 3 cups of water nd whisk it without lumps .
  • Now heat a pan pour 2 spoons of oil, mustard,jeera ,onion, curryleaves hing, turmeric nd saute it. Now add green chillies paste nd saute it. Now add prepared Besan mixture. Stir it continuously cook until the mixture leaves the side.now add lemon juice. Next grease a plate with oil nd pour the Besan mixture ND spread eavenly nd tap it. On top sprinkle with coconut, shreds, coriandernd poppy seeds. After 5 minutes u cut into square or diamond shape. Now jhunka Vadi is ready to serve with jowar rotis, chapathis. It can also be served as snack.

Notes/Tips

U can use tamarind juice option to lemon juice.
